He then became songwriter and singer for the famous Mad Lighters since 1991(hit song: “After the storm”) and is currently not only singing, recording and performing with Spahni’s Dub dancers alongside Dennis Bovell but also working on his own projects.

Creator and leader of this project, Cedric is a musician who is interested in all sorts of musical styles, has no boundaries, loves exploring new horizons and sharing them. His music is sometimes for bands and gigs, sometimes for theater and plays, sometimes for fun and thought. Always extraordinary and outstanding.

Cedric is a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist, a great composer and an inventive arranger too. He plays most of the instruments on the tracks. His work is quite impressive: rich, free spirited and playful, just like Jamaican Rocksteady of which he’s been a fan for numerous years.

For a long time, Cedric wished to work on this fresh, spontaneous, joyful and playful music, not only with ”traditional” instruments but also with some really unexpected ones for this style of music. With the exception of the drums, the trumpet and the trombone, he plays all the other instruments on these recordings.

Here is a musician with 40 years of experience, famous across the globe for his progressive creations, who, this time, puts all his skills at the service of this wonderful music: Jamaican Rocksteady of the early sixties.
